Post 4: A person I would like to meet

I am about to graduate as an actor and I also consider myself an informal musician, therefore I love music and cinema (and series), and recently there is a person who appears to me in both: Donald Glover.

Donald is a 38-year-old American comedian, he is also a director, screenwriter, rapper, musician and producer. He became known for acting on the sitcom Community (which is my favorite series right now) and for creating and performing in Atlanta, a Netflix series about rap and music.

At the same time, Donald created an alter ego to launch his musical career: Childish Gambino. The idea of creating a character to separate his musical career from his acting career seems great to me! It is something I would like to do because it makes it more fun and infinite artistic worlds can be created.

I think that although I like his performances in the series I have whatched, his music captivates me a lot, making rap that goes beyond what I was used to listen. His musical productions are very beautiful and they manage to convey many sensations in the same album. I think his versatility as an actor helps him to generate a proposal that goes from music, visuality, performance, musical production, show and storytelling. He is a really complete artist!

Sometimes I think I would like to perform with him in a show and that he invites me to collaborate on one of his songs. He transmits a very sensitive and friendly attitude, I think we could get along well jeje.

Donald (and Childish) has won awards both as an actor and as a musician. In 2017 his performance and his direction in Atlanta made him the winner of two Emmy Awards, that same year he was nominated for the Grammy Awards in various categories for his album "Awaken, my love", finally winning the award for Best Traditional R&B Recording.
